Cybersecurity

The Computer Science Department at the University of Oregon has established a regional hub for cybersecurity research and education, leading the way in developing innovative solutions and training the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Backed by a dedicated faculty with nationally recognized expertise and a unique regional ecosystem of cybersecurity programs, our department provides students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to address today’s most critical cybersecurity challenges.

The University of Oregon is a founding member of the state-funded Oregon Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (OCCoE) and plays an active role in OCCoE initiatives across the state. These include workforce development, cybersecurity services, risk assessments, public awareness campaigns, and outreach activities.

We also maintain strong partnerships with high schools and industry organizations across Oregon and beyond—supporting students from their early high school years through their transition into the workforce.
