Women in Computer Science
Women in Computer Science (WiCS) is a student organization dedicated to building community and supporting women, and more broadly, underrepresented groups, in technology. Our club strives to create an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone. We offer both professional development and social opportunities through weekly meetings and events such as our annual Spring Tech Together Conference, career panels, professional workshops, study sessions, guest speakers, craft/game activities, collaborations with other clubs, and more.

The purpose of Oregon Software Consultants (OSC) is to connect students with real-world clients to create free, impactful software solutions and develop the next generation of talent. As a comprehensive full-stack development club, we possess extensive experience in both front-end and back-end website and application development. We provide free consulting services to organizations in need of technological services.

Want to Start Your Own Group?
If you don’t find an organization that aligns enough with your interests and goals, consider starting your own group. Contact either student-groups@cs.uoregon.edu (Department of Computer Science) or dsciadvising@uoregon.edu (Department of Data Science) to discuss your idea. Departments may be able to provide help with communications and some funding for club activities.
Clubs need:
- Three or more interested students who are willing to take on leadership for the current academic year.
- A faculty advisor (we can help with this if needed)
- Regularly scheduled meetings and meeting space
- A website or social media presence for your club, identifying the club’s name, focus, and contact information.
