2024 Women in Data Science (WiDS) - University of Oregon

WiDS – University of Oregon is an independent event organized by the Department of Data Science, UO Libraries, and the Clark Honors College to coincide with the annual Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference held at Stanford University and an estimated 150+ locations worldwide. All genders are invited to attend WiDS regional events, which features outstanding women doing outstanding work.

This hybrid opportunity links in person networking activities at UO with a livestream of Stanford’s events. The event begins with an introductory breakfast before streaming the morning’s keynote address. In mid-afternoon, we will host a panel of women in data science careers to discuss their jobs and career paths, followed by time for students to network with the panelists. Throughout the day, we will provide a congenial space for graduate and undergraduate students to meet, learn from each other, and watch the talks that interest them.

Event date: March 8, 2024

Location: Pacific Hall 204

Registration: Registration is encouraged but not required. Participants are welcome to come and go throughout the day. Register here: https://uoregon.libcal.com/event/11507351
